Moving and Fun in AZ & CA

The pictures have been building up on my camera, and I finally decided to take the time to post a few. We've been busy, you know!

First, we got a 24X8 truck, and despite our best efforts, not all of our stuff would fit. We crammed as much as we could in there, though. It was kinda fun... like Tetris... DUH, nuh nuh nuh, duh nuh nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh, duh nuh nuh, duh nuh NUH - NUH - NUH - NUH - NUH...

Will and Kyle were lucky enough to miss the fun of packing up all the stuff, but we returned one last time on the day of closing to say goodbye.

On our way to Arizona, the Explorer reached 100,000 miles 13 miles south of Cameron, and we stopped to have a little party.

With the hard work of packing and moving behind us, we left for California for a little fun together at Knott's Berry Farm and a family shindig. Paige had a rough start to the day after having puked during the drive the night before, so she doesn't look too happy in this picture, but she started feeling better later on.

The boys were busy going on the big rides while Russ and I switched off with the girls, and since cameras aren't allowed on the big rides, we got lots of pictures of the girls. Here's Paige on the Huff n Puff.

The girls were excited to go on the hot air balloons.

Once the hot air balloons left the ground, though, Kallie wasn't so sure (although this doesn't compare to the face she pulled as we went crashing down the final hill on the log ride... too bad those pictures cost so much!!).

Speaking of the log ride...

This was Kallie's favorite ride by far, and her big brother was more than happy to take her on it over and over and over again.

Paige loved it, too!!

The next day was the family shindig at Russ' grandpa's house in Sunland, California. It was nice to visit with so many people from his family, including many from far away, though I neglected to take any pictures. The day after that, we headed back to Arizona, which is where we are now. Kyle stayed in California to visit a little longer with Grandpa and Grandma Johnston, and his uncle Ian and aunt Katie will be bringing him to Arizona tomorrow. We are tired of driving!! Remember how the Explorer hit 100,000 miles the other day? Well now it's at 101,600, and we haven't even gone home yet!!

Yesterday, Grandma suggested to William that he paint Kallie's nails. She's a lucky little girl to have such good big brothers, don't you think?

When Am I Moving?

That's the question lots of people have asked. Well, the answer is Monday, but we're not moving to Arizona quite yet. We're moving to a townhome to wait for the trial to be over. As of now, trial is scheduled for July 22. BUT, we are moving most of our stuff to Arizona on Monday, and we'll be there a lot of the summer. Hopefully the trial will go forward July 22nd as planned and this will all be over then and we can buy a house there.

If any of y'all are thinking of a divorce, think again! Seriously, your life is never completely yours again when there are kids involved. Same thing happens when you marry a divorcee with children.
