Ponies
So, last month the girls went to this unicorn birthday party for the little girl next door. When we pulled into our driveway after church, Kallie about jumped out of her seat when she saw three pretty ponies in the neighbor's driveway. One even had a unicorn horn! No kidding - a unicorn birthday party with real ponies! A dream come true for little girls, right?
Kallie rode on the pink and white horse. Doesn't she look regal in that purple princess dress on the pink princess horse?

Paige was a little timid about riding on the horse at first, but I finally talked her into it, and she rode on Cocoa, the brown horse.

They both wanted to ride on the purple unicorn, but they would have had to wait in line a while for that. I hope this doesn't give them any expectations for their own parties - we're not that fancy!
Butterflies
Paige was so happy I finally got to be a chaperone on one of her field trips (it would help if she would turn the permission slips in on time, you know).
I was in charge of four little girls, including Paige. Our group was super cool! But our bus wasn't - it went to the wrong school, so we had to wait a while and got off to a late start.

I hadn't ridden a school bus in so many years, but luckily we got to sit in first class - you know, the rows near the front.

We went to the Desert Botanical Garden to visit the butterfly pavilion and learn all about desert buddies! Orientation time was first. Luckily, we got to sit in the shade because it was pretty hot out.

We weren't allowed to touch the butterflies, but there was no rule about trying to get them to land on us. There weren't any butterflies who were takers for landing on our fingers, but one butterfly landed on one of the girls' hats and flew away before I could get a picture.

Paige is an adorable caterpillar, I think.

Okay, now for cute baby boy!

He's going to be trouble really soon. Not only does he pull up onto the first stair, but he also pulled himself onto the treadmill and then proceeded to fall off head first so that his head was on the ground and his body was still on the treadmill. If it weren't for Kallie, I wouldn't have noticed right away because he didn't seem to mind that awkward position at all! Today is the first time I've noticed him crawling on all fours instead of the army crawl - oh boy, I can just feel the mischief coming on!
More photos soon.

Wow, those pony's are something else, we aren't that fancy either, but how fun! I bet the girls loved it.
Field trips are the best! Nuff said.
That boy is going to be trouble, but look at that sweet little innocent chubby face, you just can't say no, so don't even try!
Holy cow! What a rad birthday party! Im loving the pink haired horse.
Oooo that fieldtrip looks like it was super fun!
Oh man! Watch out for brando! This is the scary time, you gotta watch him like a hawk. Little rascal!
remember the butterfly garden we went to on the island of (just guessing here...) martinique? butterflies are cool, till you notice they're bugs.
nice unicorn!
nice brando!
fun stuff. I loved the ponies! The pink hair - how clever!! That definitely gave it more of a fairtale look.
I hear you on the baby boy mischief. Andrew's got the army crawl down. Today I put him on the floor in his room and a bit later found him in our room! We are going to have to start shutting doors again!
Wow a purple unicorn. Maybe I won't let my kids go to birthday parties so they don't get any ideas. That's craziness! Sam decided to climb up the whole flight of stairs the other day and did it again today. I went with him, I figured he might as well learn how not to kill himself, there is just no use fighting it. Scary stuff all this growing up.
